Once Upon A Child Danbury by Tara M. at InsiderPages
Citysearch UserNot worth the time or money to get there. They told me the day before they took toys and DVDs. When I arrived they refused to take any DVD that was not brand new and still in plastic wrap and told me they were no longer accepting toys. I called the day before and inquired about both the toys and DVDs they would accept and they neglected to mention these important details. I spent two hours cleaning and organizing my items, drove 40 miles round trip and walked away with $7.03. I would have been better off donating the items and taking the tax deduction.
Okay for buying playclothes, you can sell for much more on ebay by Julia T. at InsiderPages
Citysearch UserThey are very finicky about what they take, but can afford to be. Still, it makes you wonder when you see what's on the racks and much of that is not the best quality. You can get great playclothes that you won't mind getting filthy but if you are looking to sell your stuff and get the most for your money, go to ebay. Even with the hassel of posting photos and shipping, you will get much more for your items. If you just don't have the time and want a quick couple bucks in your pocket, this is the ticket. Just go in expecting to feel sort of jipped. Also, it's true. They are not the friendliest bunch (with one or two exceptions).
this store is not the deal ti seems by Rebecca M. at InsiderPages
Citysearch UserI went there with an entire old navy bag filled with gap/old navy/carters stuff with tags on it~ they gave me 30 bucks!
HA HA HA~
I know I would never get full price....but come on!!!!
one outfit was probably worth 30 bucks~
I would never go back there. They are not the nicest and take back different things for different reasons!
This store provides a great service
Citysearch UserYour alternatives to OPAC is to hold your own tag sale where most clothing articles will sell for 25 cents each, you can leave your things in a Good Will box where you will receive nothing in return- not even a tax deductible receipt, or you can donate things for free to the women's and children's shelter. Going through OPAC gives you a bit of cash in your pocket and they also offer you a chance to donate your unwanted goods to local charitable organizations. A win-win situation! If you are hoping to get full price for your taggedtems I suggest you try E-Bay with quite a bit less convenience and automatic costs associated with your postings.
this store sucks
Citysearch UserI thought this store sounded like a great place to bring clothes that I haven't used for my children (still had tags on). I knew I wouldn't get full price but the amount of money they give you back is ridiculous. They told me they wouldn't take back at least 5 shirts with tags all from baby gap and about 4 from a very upscale department store, with the tags. When you look at the clothes on the racks, you wonder why they have junk that look out of style and some in poor condition. When you question why they wouldn't take certain items, the girls act like you are trying to return payless shoes to Bloomingdales. SO RUDE!!!!! I'd rather give away my clothes then bring anything to this place.
