Wonderful experience. by Cheryl F. at InsiderPages
Citysearch UserIve sold clothes here in the past & they paid me a fair price & while they have rejected a lot of stuff - I am happy they are so picky from a buyer stand point.
The customer service has been excellent - even going so far as finding an item on the shelf for me while I was on the phone so I did not have to waste a trip.
Everyone has always been pleasant & wonderful whether buying or selling.
I Agree
Citysearch UserI agree with some of these reviews. I have also been treated VERY snotty in there, more than once, by both the owner and the staff. They are overpriced on most of their clothes and especially the toys. I find much better deals at other stores on new clothes and toys by shopping sales and clearance.
Good items, but overpriced and difficult to shop.
Citysearch UserI shop at all of the Once Upon a Child's in the area and this is my least favorite. It is often over priced, but I pass on the overpriced items and often find some great deals on items that somehow make it thru less expensive. My biggest gripe, and why I like it less than the other stores is that the racks are way too stuffed. It is VERY difficult to shop when items are so packed in there. It makes it unpleasant. Overall the employees are very friendly. The owner is in there often and she is kind of snotty. I am christian and respect the fact that they play Christian misic in the store, but do find it less pleasant than music that is more familiar to me. Oh, and their return policy is only 7 days as compared to 30 days at the other locations.
This is a Great Store! by j s. at InsiderPages
Citysearch UserI have bought and sold at this store for the last 5 years for both of my kids and I always find great deals. The quality of the clothes is better than most resale stores, they pay more for your items, and the staff is friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this store!
each is entitled to his own opinion by pearl f. at InsiderPages
Citysearch Useri've been a customer of once upon a child in carmel for 2 years now and i've never received poor service at all. i have brought stuff in and i know there are times that they wouldn't buy the size that i have but i understand that because like most stores, they do get overstocked. if they buy more than they sell, then the store won't earn anything at all. if they don't buy my stuff for the price i originally bought it for at the stores, it's okay. sometimes i just say no thank you and i know it's not their loss anyway because there are other people willing to sell their stuff for any price just because they get something for it unlike when you donate it to goodwill where you dump it there and don't get anything for it and yet they sell it to people so it's not a donation at all because they made money out of it and you don't. so sometimes, it's worth taking a trip first to once upon a child before you go to goodwill after cleaning your house or after a garage sale. nobody is perfect and that's why in huge stores, they have customer service because even if you bought something brand new, you still find something wrong with it and return it. once upon a child is just a resale shop, for someone who can't afford to buy clothes at store price, i am thankful for this store. if you think this store has flaws, what store doesn't? humans are never satisfied by nature. we always want something more and not everything pleases us. but i love once upon a child because i am able to buy something for my baby withing our budget.
