This recycling shop for "kids' stuff with previous experience" buys and sells gently used children's clothing, equipment and furniture.

Great concept and awesome prices! by Aubrey F. at InsiderPages

I visit Once Upon a Child in Lafayette, IN all the time. The prices are great and the store is always so clean and organized. The employees are very friendly and helpful. I sold some items and had both of my children with me, and an employee carried all my items out to my car without any hesitation. Now that is great service! I hardly buy from anywhere else now. Thank you Once Upon a Child!

Hit or Miss by Kimberly P. at InsiderPages

As resale shops go, the Once Upon A Child in Lafayette is not a bad place to shop. You do really have to search sometimes to find a bargain (high prices and low quality are abundant), but if you are patient, they can be had. For as picky as I have experienced them to be on buys, there does seem to be an awful lot of low quality on the racks in the larger sizes. Baby stuff always tends to be in good condition, but the prices can be a bit high. If you are a bargain shopper, it's possible to buy new on clearance from a higher end store. I think that it's just a matter of preference, if you don't want to spend time looking through every item to maybe come away empty handed. My mindset for consignment shopping is that it is hit or miss, but always worth the look just in case! The store is usually clean and well organized, but I have found them to be one of those places that buys low and sells high. PROS: Organized, easy to find the right sizes, good quality nursery furniture CONS: Clothing prices can be high for the quality, doesn't pay to sell there

Nice clothes... very high prices. by Amiee G. at InsiderPages

I have went to the OUAC quite a few times and I personally think that the clothes are expensive. They do have a great selection of items for all ages. I have taken stuff there to sell to them and they usually don't give hardly anything for it. They are just there to make a buck, not to help you out! Also have only found a couple nice employees there, the rest usually act like you are bugging them. PROS: Good Selection CONS: High Priced, Rude Employees

Clothes are more than a lil worn by Ashly W. at InsiderPages

It is a great idea to resell children's clothes! But they rip you off when you try to sell them very nice clothes and the clothes they are selling are no better than what you are trying to sell and the prices are outrageous for used non brand name clothes! I could buy them at Target and Wal mart brand new for the same price they are selling them at used!!!!
