Mission Ten Eleven is dedicated to customer service and giving all of the clientele an experience to remember. The stylist are highly trained in hair styling,hair color techniques, and specialize in extensions.
In an effort to take an eco friendly approach to this business Mission Ten Eleven has joined efforts with MatterOfTrust.org to recycle hair in order to create hair mats that are used to help clean up oil spills, and to help protect the environment. This stylish salon is centrally located in South Pasadena, with easy to find parking both on the the street and in a near by garage.

angiegilliamI moved back to the Pasadena area about a year and a half ago from New York and was looking for a salon. I was initially referred to a nearby salon, but after reading reviews decided to go elsewhere. I found Mission Ten Eleven through reviews online and when I made my appointment I was paired with Gillian. She is GREAT! She always gives me a great cut and never tries to push her own vision for my hair on me (which I've definitely experienced before at other salons). She is super professional and knows what's she's doing when it comes to hair. I have crazy curly hair, which I always wear straight, and she always spends the time to blow dry my hair pin straight. Not only is the cut initially great, but it's always a cut that grows out really well. If you are looking for a new salon, or looking to make a switch, you should definitely go to Gillian.

Owner, Ernie Hernandez has meticulously perfected exactly what a salon should entail. From the great variety of music channeling through the cool Bose speakers, to the fact that this salon is environmentally sustainable.
The moment that you step in to this beautifully decorated salon it will be obvious how much thought and detail has gone into this establishment. The staff and the stylists are all very friendly and attentive. Even stylists other than your own are very friendly and are quick to remember your name. Everyone there makes you feel welcomed and comfortable.
The shampoo bowls are absolutely the best I have ever seen or used. No strained neck with these shampoo bowls. They have a small comfortable platform where your head rests through the entire shampoo and conditioning process.
The owner, Ernie Hernandez is a highly experienced and very talented stylist. Over the years Ernie has made it a point to teach his clients how to correctly blowdry or straighten their hair so that they can achieve the best styles at home. He makes sure to quickly go over the most important techniques and he is happy to pass on his expertise. He is funny, interesting and has one of the best personalities of anyone that I have ever known. I can’t say enough good things about him.
Gabriela is fantastic with the blowdryer and she does the absolute best shampoos that I have ever experienced.

best salon in the area and Gillian is a great stylistsamuelchui met Gillian, my stylist, back when she was working at a nearby salon. she has always been a pro with my somewhat hard to manage hair. i have followed her to Mission Ten Eleven since last year. i really enjoy the vibe of this place - not as crowded as many others, very clean, hip, upscale without the attitude. (well it doesn't hurt that i live upstairs from the salon and can just walk downstairs)
i have recommended many of my friends to come here as well. no strong up-selling of products, they do it the way you request while giving you good and respectful advice and overall just a great experience.

My hair reached Nirvana at the best kept secret in L.A.RomiAfter many years of seeking the perfect color and cut, I finally found it. Gillian is a shear genius and colorist who demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of tone, hue, highlights, lowlights, texture and style. From my very first visit, I was ecstatic with the color and highlights and the brilliant texturized cut whose lines are so easy to work with. As if reading my mind, Gillian translated a specific red hue I found hard to describe into gorgeous hair color. Until Gillian, no other hair stylist could (and I've been to them all). I was amazed at how effortlessly she nailed it. She instills confidence without being opinionated and her flexibility is quite reassuring. It's a glorious feeling to know my hair is the best it can be and I can look forward to that feeling every time I go to Mission Ten Eleven. I have never received more compliments and I am delighted to share the best hair secret in L.A. Mission Ten Eleven is also a wondrous place to chillout - it is charming, cozy, ecologically aware and and terminally hip. I wish everyone who desires the cut and color of their dreams would go to Gillian. The world would be such a happy place!
don't bother going anywhere else7shep3Mission Ten Eleven doesn't miss a thing as a top tier salon! Very comfortable while also very sleek, with great music everytime I've been in there. Gillian has been my stylist here and I've never had better hair cuts! She's incredibly good at what she does and she also has that special talent to hear the "I want it kind of like....." and turn it into exactly what you were looking for.
