Ridiculous by Unhappy C. at InsiderPages
Citysearch UserIf you're a commercial customer, beware, they hide a three year automatic renewal with notice required 60 days before the renewal date in order to cancel on the back of the paper work. The sheet that was signed by our representative was faxed, so there was no renewal notice on the page (because it's on the back of the contract, which wasn't there because it was faxed). When we asked to speak with anyone with authority to deal with the renewal, we were blown off. They refused to give us a number to contact anyone who could actually help us, stating that they were meeting with that individual and would pass our request along. Have not heard word one from anyone since then. We sent a registered letter requesting cancellation of service, and have not heard from them regarding that, and their bin is still sitting on our property. Stay away from this company.
Much Higher Price; Fewer Pickup Options by Deb D. at InsiderPages
Citysearch UserI agree with Heather. I have been with another company in Lincoln for many years, but because of the higher gas prices, they just recently increased their prices by a few dollars. I thought check out other trash service companies because I recycle and have very little actual garbage. I figured I could pay less since they collect very little from me. What I learned is that Midwest's monthly fee is actually near what my current company is for two months, and Midwest picks up only one day per week, whereas my current company picks up two days. Glad I gathered the information...I am happy now.
Good value, great service by Sarah N. at InsiderPages
Citysearch UserHere's a trash removal company that seems to genuinely care about the quality of service they provide for their customers (and I've dealt with some who don't). Besides proving themselves to be reliable, their staff is always courteous, accessible and responsive (but don't expect a response to voicemails left after-hours). On several occasions they have gone above-and-beyond the call of duty without being asked. They do what they say they're going to do, and after eight months of service (involving the disposal of major appliances, and the addition of more containers to our small fleet of trash bins) I have yet to be disappointed. I think their service is a good value, and I will recommend them to anyone who lives in their service area.
Bad service, bad prices by Heather Y. at InsiderPages
Citysearch UserWhen I moved to Lincoln, I hired Midwest because the previous owners had left a Midwest bin behind. I had to call them multiple times after the initial call, because they missed picking up our trash and failed to put us on their list for recycling. It took a few more phone calls before they would even drop off a recycling bin. It didn't take me long to switch to a cheaper company with better service, but then we still had to call Midwest a couple of times to get them to take their bin away. Too many simple tasks made difficult! I wouldn't recommend them to anyone, and I've since heard similar complaints from my neighbors.
